Sr Staff Engr RF Microwav Dsgn

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing proposal baseline tasks, such as recommended antenna and phased array technical baseline, cost and schedule estimates, and technical volume support for pre-proposal and proposal activities for the antennas and phased arrays. The scope of work Includes, but not limited to managing technical/cost/schedule, managing multiple subcontractors, supporting proposal efforts, working cross-disciplinary system integration, and running system simulations. Experience in electronics architecture development is required.
  • Senior Engineering Lead to manage antenna design developments including architecture, components, circuits, or products, and performance of radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems testing with a cross-disciplinary engineering & production team.

  • Responsible for the design & analysis, development, production and sustainment of antenna RF systems in support of the antenna programs.

  • Proficiency in electromagnetic theory, electromagnetic analysis, and performance budgeting/allocation.

  • Incorporation of lessons learned and experiences in design/analysis, innovative thinking, and familiarity with the state-of-the-art.

  • Familiarity with production program management processes including establishment of program base line, cost/schedule earned value management, risk/opportunity management, and requirements/configuration control.

  • Communication & information flow to project team and functional homeroom management, as well as fulfilling reporting requirements to customer & program management.

  • Identifying and realizing opportunities to reduce cost and improve processes.



Basic Qualifications:

* Master's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution

* Minimum of 12 years of antenna design developments including architecture, components, circuits, or products, and performance of radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems testing with a cross-disciplinary engineering & production team in an aerospace environment; or 9 years of antenna design development experience with a STEM PhD

* Experience leading radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems testing

* Proficiency in electromagnetic theory, electromagnetic analysis, and performance budgeting/allocation

* Demonstrated intellectual property development related to antenna design, including patents, publications, etc.

* Candidate must beable to obtain andmaintain a U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years, OR must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years



Preferred Qualifications:

* PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 20 or more years of antenna design development experience in an aerospace environment;

* Familiarity with production program management processes including establishment of program base line, cost/schedule earned value management, risk/opportunity management, and requirements/configuration control.

* Identifying and realizing opportunities to reduce cost and improve processes

* Demonstrated new business capture leadership
