Sr Specialist I-IT Project Manager

This is a multi-level req for an G08 or G09 position depending on candidate's skills, education and experience in accordance with the requirements of the job description

Job Description:
Information Technology provides innovative processes and capabilities enabling RMS to gain a competitive advantage in existing markets, and capture new business in emerging markets. The IT Program Engagement Leads (PEL) primary objective is to be the focal point for directly identifying IT's resource needs to enable pursuit/program success. The IT Program Engagement organization manages and coordinates the activities to identify, plan and facilitate the deployment and support of the Program Work Environment (proposal & execution) to meet customer needs with a focus on agility and ensuring cost and timelines are met.

This position will provide the opportunity to lead program engagement projects across the IT organization as well as interfacing directly with RMS Program Leaders, Facilities, Security, Engineering, and our customers.The role of IT Program Engagement Lead includes working with our business partners to capture program IT requirements, working with IT teams to define solutions, develop budgets and deployment schedules, manage the project thru execution, and act as the primary customer interface for IT Program needs. IT Program Engagement leads must have a broad technical background in IT solutions and services, good communication and senior briefing capabilities, customer management skills, good project management skills, proposal Basis Of Estimate (BOE) and cost estimating skills, understanding of IPDS gating process, and in interest in RMS programs.

Key responsibilities include:

-IT Interface to Program & Program Advocate within IT
-Identify and capture Program Requirements
-Work with IT SME’s to define total integrated IT solution and plan
-Manage and Support all IT Program Proposal Activities
-Document & Capture IT Cost and Plans
-Brief Program and IT Leadership Plans, Status, Issues
-Manage Missile SystemsIT Program Portfolio
-Create deployment schedule & budget
-Manage program deployment across different IT groups
-Manage IT inputs in Program IMS schedules
-Interface with other related support functions such as Facilities and Security to support successful IT deployment of services to Program.

Position reports to the Manager, IT Program Engagement Manager and can be located in Tucson, AZ

Do you meet thee minium requirements?
·Bachelor’s degree in IT or STEM degree and must have 4 + years of related progressive experience, applicable work experience can be substituted for a degree.
·Proven success in managing complex IT projects
·Strong technical writing, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills necessary to perform in a fast-paced work environment.
·Experiencedirectly working with the customer (Internal or External) in professional manner
· Problem solving skills in a team environment
·Experience in facilitating and responding to Requests for Information (RFI) and Proposals (RFP)
·Experience in identifying and managing assumptions, risks, and opportunities associated with proposals and/or projects or programs
·Experience effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
·Proven ability to influence and work across multiple organizations and levels, as well as across multiple geographic regions.
· Must hold a current active Secret Security Clearance,
Must be able to travel ,base on projects assignments

Highly Desired Skills:
·Ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance
·Experience using formal project management methodologies, including EVMS
·Experience leading large, complex infrastructure deployment projects is highly desired.
·Experience establishing best practices and policies for IT project management.
·Project Management certification a plus.
·Qualified or Expert R6Sigma
·Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business or Engineering related field.
·Experience working or interfacing with large-scale programs, particularly those that involve both classified and unclassified components
·Knowledge of other program disciplines and role – including software, hardware, integration and test, configuration management, quality engineering, information assurance, and program management
