Sr Software Engineer II - Software Life Cycle

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Raytheon is developing next generation sensor systems for the US military. Responsibilities for this position will involve developing new software components for the system of interest, and maintaining an existing software baseline that is currently fielded. The selected candidate will participate in the design process for new components and will support the entire software lifecycle through development, integration, and maintenance.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 6+ years of prior experience designing and developing operational/production software in C/C++ or a similar high-level language
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.


DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Prior knowledge of radar systems and associated algorithms
  • Strong math background, comfortable implementing complex algorithms and mathematical concepts in software
  • 10+ years of prior experience developing real-time applications using C++
  • Experience with the CUDA programming language for GPUs
  • Experience with complex software deployments, including a demonstrated track record of integrating software components into larger environments
  • A demonstrated willingness to dive in and research problems associated with legacy code
  • Experience with software test development and automated test tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience and familiarity with RTI DDS
  • Experience with multi-threaded application development


TRAVEL:
10%, ability and willingness to support extended travel (2 weeks) overseas on an occasional basis as required

Active SECRET, Active TOP SECRET (desired)
