Sr. Software Developer (SSC PAC)


SAIC is seeking a Sr. Software Developer in Point Loma, San Diego, CA to support SSC PAC.


Job Duties:

  • Analyze command and control systems security requirements

  • Coordinate with System Engineers, SME’s, and customer to develop radio requirements and create initial design

  • Develop, document, test, troubleshoot, and debug software.

  • Coordinate with related system stakeholders to ensure successful system integration

  • Support DoD testing required for validation and certification of the system

  • Update code as needed to ensure operational system and ensure all requirements are met.


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Engineering experience developing software-defined radios (SDR) which includes RF system design/analysis, RF component design, ASIC/FPGA development, analog-to-digital converters, reconfigurable FPGA programming, digital signal processing, embedded software systems, and digital waveform generator design. 
  • Experience and proficiency with MATLAB.
  • Experience in C/C++ and real-time OS development environments
  • Be able demonstrate an understanding of principles of digital signal processing, VHDL/integrated circuit design, RF systems and/or electromagnetic fields theory.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment such as signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  • Experience troubleshooting anomalies and isolating their root causes.
