General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has an immediate need for a Sr. SharePoint Developer to analyze, design and implement technical requirements solutions; ability to troubleshoot application and environment related problems; coordinate application configuration; deployment and testing activities.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provides support to develop Web based applications including online customer service for agency components to be able to deliver their services online
  • Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the web-site. Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications

This program only accepts US citizens and/or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years and not have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days.

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience


  • 10+ years of related software development experience
  • 3 + years of experience with SharePoint Technologies
  • 2 years of relevant C# .NET experience in a development setting for customers
  • 2 year experience with ASP.NET, CSS, HTML and Java Script
  • 2 years, intermediate experience with SharePoint SPFx
  • Experience developing SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 WebParts, Features, Event Handlers, and Search Methods in C# .NET
  • Experience developing with SharePoint WSS 3.0
  • Experience developing with MOSS functionality
  • Proficient at using HTML in SharePoint Designer 2010 through SharePoint 2019
  • Proficient at using ASP.NET in SharePoint Designer 2010 through SharePoint 2019
  • Experience creating and updating SQL in SQL Server 2014 and 2016 database
  • Experience with 2012, 2014, 2016 SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services
  • Experience translating requirements into technical design documents, and ability to model application architecture within the environment
  • Ability to identify, research, and troubleshoot problems and issues, and to create the appropriate remediation actions
  • Ability to design procedures with associated and descriptive artifacts
  • Experience with the use of automated test tools (e.g.: ALM)
  • Front End Administration and Development:
    • CSOM, JavaScript, jQuery, DOM Manipulation, HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint 2010 Foundation Website Administration
  • Back End Administration and Development:
    • Windows Server 2008 R2, Visual Studio 2008/2010, Tortoise SVN, C# .NET, .NET Framework 2.0 - 4.0, CAML, PowerShell, SQL Server 2008 R2, T-SQL, ETL Management, IIS 6-7, SSRS, SharePoint 2010 Foundation (Installation, Configuration, and Administration), SharePoint Timer Jobs, SharePoint Workflows
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodology
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust designation (US Citizenship or Green Card status required)
  • Must not have travelled outside of the US for a combined period of 6 months (or longer) within the last 5 years
