Sr Science&Tech Intel Analyst

The Global Services Group currently has an opening for a Senior level Science & Tech Intelligence Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Weapon and Space Systems Intelligence Committee (WSSIC) provides the national level Intelligence Community (IC) forum for technical analysis and reporting on the capabilities of foreign weapon and space systems. It operates under the auspices of the National Intelligence Council (NIC) within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The WSSIC responds to requests for intelligence products from senior policy and decision makers across the US government. It facilitates collaboration on intelligence across the IC and with US allied nations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Executive Secretary of the WSSIC assists the WSSIC Chairman with developing strategy and planning WSSIC projects and activities, and manages the day-to-day operations of approximately one half of the WSSIC, its resources, and its Subcommittees. These duties include, but are not limited to:

o Assist the WSSIC Chairman in developing overall WSSIC objectives and focus, and planning the annual WSSIC work plan and analytic production.
o Assist the Chairman in making recommendations on the dissemination and release of foreign weapon and space systems intelligence to Commonwealth countries.
o Assist the Chairman in making recommendations to the DNI on the need for specific improvements in collection analytical and reporting capabilities on foreign weapon and space systems intelligence.
o Manage the production of WSSIC papers and report and provide assistance to the Subcommittees on projects and tasks. Review and edit drafts for content, compliance with DNI Analytic Standards, and style. Coordinate drafts within the NIC and with other appropriate parties and coordinate publication of formal products with the NIC/APS staff.
o Coordinate reviews of NIC products within the WSSIC, including formal products, memoranda, briefings and other documents.
o Provide staff support to Subcommittees to edit and disseminate memos assigning designators and names for foreign weapon and space systems.
o Assist with travel and operations budgets of WSSIC and its Subcommittees.
o Provide administrative and coordination support for WSSIC Chairman and Quinquepqartite Intelligence Exchanges on foreign weapon and space systems.
o Develop and propose to the WSSIC Chairman and Quinquepqartite-counterparts, options to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Intelligence Exchanges under the direction of the Chiefs of Scientific and Technical Intelligence. (The Chair WSSIC is the US Co-Head of Delegation on the CSTI.) Use Stone Ghost system capabilities and VTCs to coordinate and improve collaboration with Commonwealth colleagues.
o Plan, organize, and support the annual CSTI Steering Party and support participation of subcommittees in Quinquepqartite Intelligence Exchanges.
o Perform other functions required to support these tasks, and other subtasks as assigned by the WSSIC Chairman.
o Support the Advanced Conventional Weapons (ACW) National Intelligence Priority Framework (NIPF) topic, which the NIO for Military Issues has delegated to the WSSIC.
Respond to ad hoc, frequently rapid turn-around, tasks from Congressional staffers, OSD or other customers; task the proper Intelligence Community assets via the WSSIC structure and guide the subcommittee on the nature of the response desired


Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- TS/SCI with CI or FS Poly
- BA or BS Degree in a substantive field such as engineering, physical science, chemistry, biology, math, international studies, or comparable field with 12–15 years all source analysis
- Knowledge of the structure of the Intelligence Community and the division of labor among it agencies, especially the analytic organizations
- Seven years all source analysis related work experience
- Experience writing finished all-source intelligence following the Analytic Integrity Standards (AIS)
- Experience with MS Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
Experience communicating with IC officers at all levels

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master’s Degree in a substantive field such as engineering, physical science, chemistry, biology, math, international studies, or comparable field
- Service in a joint duty assignment
Previous service on the National Intelligence Council, a NIC intelligence production committee or experience writing finished all-source intelligence for the NIC or CIA
