Raytheon Missile Systems is seeking a Senior Program Quality Engineer

If so, the Senior Program Quality Engineer role supporting our Advanced Missile Systems product line is the opportunity you have been seeking!

The Sr Program Quality Engineer will serve as the System Assurance interface on a AMS development program and complement Systems Engineering to assure the product meets the specified requirements within schedule and cost for the system and operation environment.

This position will ensure compliance with contractual, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS), and industry requirements and will use manufacturing process knowledge (assembly, inspection, test) to develop producible designs.

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
  • Support engineering teams in a collaborative environment
  • Provide input to program risks based on producibility lessons learned
  • Assure inspectability, testability and producibility are considered during the early development of the systems specification and flowdown to lower-level requirements
  • Provide an integrated perspective of the program’s technical risk that considers criticality, system safety, reliability, test criteria, and supplier

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting Production and/or Engineering in a development environment
  • Familiar with manufacturing and test readiness and methods to improve product design
  • Experience with the following tools: Mentor Graphics, MATLAB, DOORS, PRISM, FRACAS, cPDM
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions and implement robust process controls
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance

Desired Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with other IPT members, including Engineering disciplines, Operations, suppliers, and customers
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI or Mission Assurance Provisions
  • Level 5 Mission Assurance Certification (Internal candidates)
  • Proficient in the Configuration Change Board, Engineering Review Board, and Risk Review Board processes and knowledgeable in the quality role in these boards
  • Experience with consent to ship (CTS) meetings
  • Ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
  • Experience in Product/Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), and statistical control methodologies

Required Education:

BS or MS Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or related STEM degree
