Program Manager III (Must have current and active secret clearance to be considered)

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems (NGIS) is currently seeking a Sr. Program ProgramManager for our Aerospace Structures Division in Clearfield, UT.

TheSr. Program Manager will be responsible for leading a profit and loss (P&L) for several advanced programs.

Primary responsibilities include managing for P&L, establishing strategic direction for executing existing programs and capturing growth opportunities.

Job Duties:

Program Execution

    • Execute programs successfully by managing safety, quality, schedule, technology and cost (P&L responsibility)
    • Continuously drive for results and challenge the status quoCompany-Customer Interfac
    • Represent NGIS as a company (bringing the NGIS message to the customer; and integrating knowledge of the spectrum of NGIS capabilities with understanding of customer needs to promote NGIS
    • Service the customer (executing the program and resolving issues in accordance with business objectives, strategy, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policies)
    • Balance the interests of the customer, NGIS, and employeeProgram Team Management

Program Management

  • Direct the performance of program support functions (such as contracts and finance)
  • Possess the proven ability to provide verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively
  • Establish role and performance expectations, and provide ongoing feedback and performance appraisals
  • Establish and support execution of master program plans and schedules (identifying and assessing risks, and initiating necessary corrective action)

Schedule Management

  • Ensure that the programs/projects are on schedule to the program milestones.

Financial Performance

  • Manage Budgets and update monthly performance review for the customer
  • Support IPMR (Integrated Performance Management Report) review and submittals
  • Present monthly performance to customers
  • Forecast financial performance

Contract Structure, Pricing and Change

  • Manage contract negotiations, endorse final price and contract terms and resolve contract issues
  • Manage support of contract changes and negotiations

Technical Performance

  • Drive technical excellence (by setting program standards, working closely with technical team, balancing risk, and delivering performance)

Business Development

  • Leverage existing programs to win new business
  • Direct proposal preparation (to ensure it meets NGIS business strategy, is compliant, responds to customer needs, and provides a proper base for successful negotiations and program performance)

Experience Requirements:

  • Previous relevant experience working as a Sr. Program Manager and 15 years of experience in Program Management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience with large organizations
  • Proven ability to influence others
  • Experience successfully transitioning development programs to production
  • General knowledge of financial systems, rates, factors, EVMS
  • Experience managing discretionary budgets (IRAD, B&P, Marketing, Capital)
  • Experience running proposals and reviews/delegations

Education/Certifications/Clearances

    • Bachelors in Engineering
    • DoD Secret Clearance
