Sr Principal Systems Engr

We are building a first class Systems Engineering organization to support a variety of programs here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
    Raytheon’s Mobile Range and Directed Energy Groups provide engineering design, integration, test and production for radar tracking, telemetry, high power electromagnetics (HPEM), pulsed power, and diagnostics and effects testing including design and analysis of components and subassemblies.
    A position in the Systems Engineering Organization will provide opportunities for Systems Architecture Development, Interface Designs, Requirements Management, Requirements Testing and Specialty Engineering.
    Currently, Raytheon Albuquerque is in need of a Systems Engineering lead who will ensure that the products associated with the systems being developed meet the program performance, affordability and manufacturability requirements.
    Job Description
    The Systems Engineering lead will work with the engineering team to drive day to day goals of executing the requirements capture and flow down as well as working with test teams to ensure the requirements are validated. The Systems Engineering lead may perform in an Integrated Team Leadership role and support product development for both hardware and software. The Systems Engineering lead should be able to work with suppliers as well as customers and have a strong ability to ensure program execution. The individual should work well in a team environment.
    The Systems Lead will support staffing plans and the Integrated Master Schedule.
    Required Skills:
    Minimum of 10 years’ experience with proven ability to execute in relevant technical disciplinesExperience working directly with Department of Defense customers and contractorsExperience leading complex program development activitiesExperience managing a medium size team some may be in a geographically distributed settingStrong ability to obtain requirements and translate them into specificationsLead the collection, review, evaluation and interpretation of dataProvide Project Management SupportProvide Business process improvement, develop solutions and implementation strategiesExperience managing requirement flow down and subcontractors
    • Experience writing proposals
    • Experience selling off Procurement Specification requirements
    • Experience with problem reporting, tracking and resolution
    • Knowledge of Data modeling techniques
    • Excellent Presentation Skills
    • Strong Interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
    • Desired Skills
    • Willingness to travel
    • Experience with Directed Energy products and deployment
    • Experience managing Asset Utilization Plans
    • Aircraft Systems development and certification experience
    • Experience with DOORS Database Management tool
    • Proficiency in MS Office products including Visio, Access, SharePoint and WEB Ex, knowledge of database
    • Required Education (including Major):

    • Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
    • Master’s Degree preferred
    • Clearance:

    • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
