Sr. Principal Reliability Maintainability & Availability Engineer

The New Moon team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as Sr Principal Reliability, Maintainability & Availability (RMA) Engineer based out of Aurora, Co.
What You'll get to Do:
  • Provide technical leadership to engineers responsible for reliability, maintainability and availability of a complex SIGINT system of systems.
  • Perform R&M allocations and predictions.
  • Analyze historical availability performance and root cause analysis (RCA) of outages.
  • Prepare recommendations for R&M improvements based on current system architecture.
  • Prepare mission reliability analysis model.
  • Develop trustworthy customer and stakeholder relationships via excellent communication, technical insight and successful execution of programs.
  • Liaison to Integrated Product Teams (IPT), program management and suppliers for the R&M of assigned systems.

This is a dual level requisition
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM discipline with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; MS with 7 years of relevant experience, or PhD with 4 years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Reliability and Maintainability disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering, test engineering or Systems Architecture on SIGINT systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Proven leadership skills related to planning, estimating, organizing and managing technical teams and activities across multiple engineering disciplines and communities.
  • Intelligent and effective verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively interact with executive leadership within Northrop Grumman and the customer community.
  • Innovative mindset with focus on process improvement.
  • An active Top Secret security clearance or TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience with hands-on R&M analysis and modeling skills.
  • Experience with New Moon program
  • Familiarity with SE processes and tools such as DOORS and Rhapsody
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • Knowledge of Reliability and Maintainability disciplines.
  • An active Top Secret security clearance or higher that has been granted/renewed within the last 5 years.
