Job Description:

Our team has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Chief Enterprise Network Engineer supporting an Intelligence Community customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. The Chief Engineer leads efforts to continuously optimize technical performance and smooth collaboration between Project and, Operations and Sustainment (O&S) activities involving program architecture. The Chief Engineer ensures all program engineering solutions meet the needs of program and customer requirements. This position will be responsible for developing strategic roadmaps and providing technical oversight ensuring the infrastructure meets customer business requirements.

Experience in complex IT networks involving all phases of network design, implementation, and analysis. Performs research, requirements analysis, design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of local- and wide-area network hardware, software and applications. Experience installing and configuring WAN and LAN hardware to include voice, video, and cable infrastructures. Develops vision, roadmap specifications, designs, integration and test plans, and all relevant documentation. Develops risk management and mitigation strategy. Maintain compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) standards as well as ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded. Additionally, this position will manage of team of globally dispersed Network Engineers implementing approved solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

•Focus will be on Strategic Enterprise Engineering
•Provide technical leadership on major initiatives across the enterprise architecture.
•Coordinate engineering support of project and operations & sustainment activities for contract requirements.
•Oversee requirement and system analysis, root cause analysis, preliminary design and detailed design for the enterprise. Provide deployment support for both legacy system upgrades and new system deployment.
•Manage physical and logical build out of network architecture design. Support IPTs, Readiness Review Processes, and Technical Exchange Meetings as required by the customer.
•Establish roadmap, goals and plans meeting customer business objectives.
•Evaluate and report on new/emerging network technologies to enhance capacity, performance and reliability of the network.
•Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices.
•Brief corporate management and senior customer leadership on evolutionary initiatives enhancing service delivery over the next 2 to 5 years.
•Represent Raytheon, Prime contract and customer with technology and service providers to develop future strategies.
•Coordination for consistent sustainable multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms and technologies.
•Lead the research and implementation of enterprise system-wide network solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.
•Evaluate and monitor health and performance of the network including hardware and management software.
•Develop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
•Assess network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts to ensuring attainment of performance and availability objectives.
•Follow all Customer network security processes and procedures, ensures compliance with all Government policies.
•Represent customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies.
•Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams.

Required Experience:

•10+ years related technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and techniques.
•6+ years experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment.
•5+ years managing a technical staff – responsible for task scheduling and professional development
•Demonstrated expertise with the DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions.
•Demonstrated experience with MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and multicast
•Experience with CISCO and Juniper, switches, routers, Cryptographic devices, VPN and VPN client.
•Experience with Network analysis tools (CISCO Network Analysis Modules, Solar Winds Network Management, OPNET NetOne, HP Network Node Manager, etc.)
•Experience with CISCO firewall/VPN equipment (Adaptive Security Appliance, etc)
•Experience with supporting IP services to connect to NIPRNET, SIPRNET and JWICS (IPv4, VPN, IPv6, Multicast, QOS, SDN, SNMP, VOIP, VTC, etc).

Required Skills:

Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI with willingness to obtain CI polygraph
•Ability to obtain CI polygraph
•Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance
•Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
•Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral presentations to senior/executive management
•Proficient is MS Office suite – Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

Required Certification:

•DOD 8570 IAT-2 certification
•ITIL v3 Foundations

Desired Education/Certification:

•Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
•DOD 8570 IAT-3 certification
CISCO CCNP, CCVP, CCNA, CCDP or CCIE
•Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCDS or JNCIE
•ITIL v3 Intermediate
