CD66 / CD67 Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer: Test Sub-Integrated Product Team Lead

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to function as the Test Sub-Integrated Product Team (Sub-IPT) Lead to join the Multi-Function Radio Frequency System (MFRFS) Engineering team in McKinney, TX. The Test Sub-IPT lead will direct cross-functional teams in custom military electrical hardware test equipment design and verification, focusing on planning, budgeting, internal and external design reviews, team coordination, issue resolution, and risk and opportunity management.

The Test Sub-IPT Lead’s responsibilities include:
  • Planning and coordinating special test equipment and test fixture design efforts
  • Defining MFRFS test strategy for new and evolving hardware designs
  • Identifying improvements needed on test sets, test equipment, and test software
  • Maintaining product line test sets
  • Factory test
  • Coordinating with program managers and production teams to ensure throughput capacity across programs
  • Cost, schedule, and critical path management

This position can be a salary grade G09 or G10 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. An ACTIVE DoD secret clearance is required. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • 8+ years related experience with leading and executing the design and development of test equipment solutions for digital, power electronics, and/or RF hardware
  • Experience with electrical hardware design and development including design standard adherence
  • IPT or sub-IPT leadership experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, SAP, or other scheduling/cost management tools

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline. Advance degree desirable.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Broad based technical background with the ability to lead complex technical projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication; must be able to present to various levels of management as well as internal and external customers
  • Experience with transition to production of a new and/or significantly evolved digital Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) or RF modules
  • Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, or C/C++ software development
  • Understanding of CCA design and manufacturing
  • Experience collaborating with Global Supply Chain and Mission Assurance to identify and resolve supplier quality, lead time, and manufacturability issues
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to maintain high performance in a highly dynamic, team based environment
  • Earned Value Management certified
  • Subcontract Management
  • Experience in proposal writing including cost estimation
  • Ability to assimilate inputs from multiple sources and derive design and operational requirements
