Sr. Principal Engineer Structural - 3/10 shift

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in Palmdale, CA has an opening for a Structural Analysis Engineer4 (or equivalent). The selected candidate will perform structural analysis to support the production line as structural analysis engineer (3/10 shift). Develop solutions to difficult problems that are thorough, imaginative, practical, and consistent with program objectives. Coordination and clear communication with other disciplines during the development of design solutions. Concise presentation and explanation of structural issues/solutions to internal management and customer representatives. Evaluation of engineering products for conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) and a minimum of9 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis or MS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) and7+ years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis.
  • Position requires experience in Composite Structural Analysis Methods and Metallic Structural Analysis Methods including and-sheet analysis, as well as the development and manipulation of large FE Models of metallic and composite structures is required.
  • Proficiency with NASTRAN, PATRAN and/or FEMAP.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higherwith an investigation date within the last 6years
  • Ability to obtain and maintain special program access (PAR)

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior MRB experience preferred
