Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer - IPTL

Job Description
Raytheon is looking for individuals with a proven track record leading and managing teams as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) in the areas of RF and Microwave design to work with our team of experts within the Receiver and Exciter Hardware Design Group. You will be leading a talented team on the development of next generation Receiver Exciter technologies for Airborne Radars.

A successful candidate will be an experienced team lead and possess the ability to work in a high octane environment and manage engineers who are involved in the development of requirements, architecture, design, analysis, detailed trade studies, simulation and test of RF and Microwave circuits and Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs). A successful candidate will have the technical knowledge and understanding of the products being managed.

The applicant will lead programs in the capacity of a Tier I or Tier II IPTL and execute programs to meet program specifications within allocated cost and schedule. They will prepare and manage staffing and loading across the period of performance, lead design performance and cost trade-offs, manage risks and opportunities, organize and lead team meetings, internal design reviews, and program and customer reviews.

The candidate must be experienced in the use of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and will report weekly EV metrics along with variances. They will prepare and present Program Performance Reviews (PPRs), Variance Analysis Reviews (VARs), Estimate At Completion (EACs) and other reports for periodic meetings. They will be responsible to evaluate performance of the program and take necessary actions to keep the program within cost & schedule while identifying and mitigating program risks.
The individual should be self-motivated and be prepared to work with a focused team with an innovative, yet schedule oriented mindset. They will be looked upon for pursuing IRAD projects, leading proposal activities and providing cost estimates based on prior programs. The candidate will be sought after for driving low cost solutions for customer’s needs.

The candidate will be a team leader and must have a proven track record leading and working well within multi-disciplined teams. They will have engagement with program managers and functional management to align staffing with program needs. They will also be engaged with customers, vendors and outside suppliers including sub-contract management and oversight.

Required Skills:
  • Must have at least 10 years of related experience in RF/Microwave circuits, subsystems design, technical leadership and IPTL and CAM
  • Requires a demonstrative and working knowledge of EVMS
  • Must be EVMS Certified
  • Hands on experience in the design, analysis, development, bread‐boarding, troubleshooting and testing of RF/Microwave circuits
  • Experience in lab equipment including: Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Front Line Leadership Training
  • Program Management Certification, or Equivalent
  • SCRUM or Agile Training and/or Experience
  • Special Access Clearances

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
