Sr. Network Engineer



SAIC is currently looking for a qualified  Network Support Engineer to support the SAIL team in Huntsville, AL.

The S3I Aviation Interoperability Laboratory (SAIL) team currently has a requirement to fill a permanent position located in the S3I Complex on Redstone Arsenal. The SAIL supports various Army communications exercises such as Network Integration Exercise (NIE) and Joint Warfighter Assessment (JWA) providing communications and network expertise to support customer driven experiments and prototyping. The SAIL team also provides support to the Air Traffic Control project office (PM-ATC) to develop enhancements to their air traffic control assets.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Support design and development of prototype hardware fielded on multiple Army owned aviation products
  • Develop and support integration plans for Tactical Radios, Data Distribution Units, antennas, and ancillary supporting devices
  • Support integration and test events
  • Provide network/cyber security support of integration activities
  • Additionally, the candidate will be expected to learn the operation of Army aviation radios and ancillary equipment for the purpose of functional check out. 
  • The candidate will report directly to the team Lead Engineer.  This position will require less than 10% travel.




Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience; years of experience can be used in lieu of degree.



  • Network configuration experience
  • Working knowledge of Cyber Security
  • Eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Verifiable experience configuring and operating military communications equipment
  • An active security clearance is desired
