Sr Multi-Disciplined Eng II

Job Description: The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user.

The Sr Multi Disciplined Engineer II assignment will be the sub-IPT lead for the Deployment of the PRISM iMRO capability on an international program, acting as the interface with both internal and external customers and managing the system setup and maintenance tasks. The candidate for this role will also be the department Point of Contact (POC) for interfacing with the Enterprise Depot Community of Practice team, responsible for identifying lessons learned and best practices from other businesses and applying them to IDS depot programs. Lastly, the candidate for this role will assist the hiring manager with identifying and deploying next generation technologies such as Machine Learning and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

This position requires 10% domestic travel and could require up to 10% international travel.

This position can be Salary Grade G09 or G10, based upon the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience in a sustainment, operations, or production control environment for complex hardware systems, understanding of the procurement, repair, and/or maintenance processes.
  • Ability to articulate software and tool requirements
  • Strong communications skills and experience presenting to leadership
Desired Skills:
  • Active US DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance within the first year
  • A strong desire to learn new processes and lead change within the organization
  • Raytheon R6Sigma Certification; otherwise must become R6Sigma certified within one (1) year
  • Experience with import / export regulatory compliance and controls
  • Strong background in Depot programs such as Repair & Return or Performance Based Logistics
  • Expertise in one or many of the following tools: PRISM, iMRO, SAP, Business Warehouse
  • Experience reporting to internal and/or external Customers on project status and technical requirements
  • Operations or Production Control experience
  • Raytheon Earned Value (EV) certification
  • Experience developing, analyzing, and reporting metrics related to spares availability, hardware failure analysis, maintenance, procurements, and/or repairs
  • Experience with multiple Raytheon businesses and adopting best practices from other programs

Required Education:
BS/BA in Engineering, IT, math, or science or business related to technology. 8 years of relevant field experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. (Two years related work experience can substitute for one year of education)
