Sr Multi-Disciplined Eng I or II


The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user.

The WLED provides leadership and expertise in executing the 12 disciplines in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). The Sr Multi-Discipline Engineer I or Sr Multi-Disciplined Engineer II will be responsible for executing and leading tasks in a subset of those ILS elements. These responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:
  • Collect, Monitor, and Report Monthly Repair or Spares Cycle Time Metrics: Received assets, in process work, back log & turnaround time on Line Replaceable Units (LRU)
  • Register Government Furnished property through the government tracking database for serialized and non-serialized repair hardware
  • Generate Work Authorization Requests to load new material procurement requests, fund repair hardware in the factory, and fund supply chain to place repair orders with suppliers
  • Generate Quotations and Delivery Travelers in Raytheon's SAP-based part management system
  • Manage Raytheon Repairs and Spares procurements status and progress with Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams
  • Present and participate in Program Reviews, external Customer meetings, and team status meetings on repairs
  • Monitor and prioritize critical shipments for consumable materials, tools, and/or spares to deployed all around the world
  • Lead the planning and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance events for systems deployed all around the world
  • Contribute to the develop of ILS strategies for various programs as they transition from development or production into sustainment
10%-15% domestic and international travel could be required for this role.

This position can be Salary Grade G08 or G09, based upon the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position


Required Skills:
  • Four (4+) years' experience on a program supporting a complex hardware system to including analysis and management for restock strategies, obsolescence, maintenance, sustainment, logistics engineering, and/or repair & return
Desired Skills:
  • Raytheon R6Sigma Certification; otherwise must become R6Sigma certified within one year.
  • Earned Value Management certification
  • Experience with program Risk and Opportunity Management
  • SAP-based software experience
  • Experience writing Bases of Estimate (BOEs)
  • Experience managing and registering government property
  • General knowledge of automated procurement and logistics tool suites
  • Experience developing, analyzing, and reporting metrics
  • Experience reporting estimates at complete, earned value metrics, and other financial data (cost and schedule impacts)
  • Experience presenting to upper level management and/or external customers
  • Active US DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance within the first year
Required Education (including Major):
  • BA/BS in engineering, logistics or relevant fiend, or or 8+ years of relevant field experience may be considered in lieu of a BA/BS. (Two years related work experience can substitute for one year of education)
