Job Description:
The Senior Manager of Hardware Quality Engineering-Operations will provide Mission Assurance and Quality Leadership for hardware quality across assigned Integrated Operations Centers/Value Streams at the Andover factory site. This position will report to the Mission Assurance Director-Operations Quality. As a senior manager, you will be responsible for supervising and providing development opportunities for all members of the organization. You will be expected to demonstrate and drive the Raytheon values and behaviors. In addition, you will develop goals for the team, which includes the identification of continuous improvement opportunities and driving improvement results.

As the Leader of Quality Assurance for the directorate, you will be assuring product and process compliance to contractual and IDS requirements throughout all phases of manufacturing and logistics operations. The position will require collaborative working relationships with functional and business partners. This individual will also be expected to develop a relationship with customers, fostering an effective working environment based on trust and respect.

This position requires a current U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Current Active US Secret Security Clearance
  • 12+ years of experience in engineering, operations, quality or other technical field
  • 7+ years of experience in a quality role.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Customer facing experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
  • 6Sigma experience with root cause analysis methodology

Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with process owners to drive compliance, root cause and corrective action for process improvement
  • In-depth knowledge of quality tools and processes including SPC and/or CoPQ
  • Experience with general ISO-9001/AS 9100 Quality requirements, commercial, aerospace, and defense regulations and standards
  • Strong business acumen in the Aerospace and Defense industries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships through partnering and collaboration both internally and with customers
  • Experience working with DCMA and/or MDA
  • Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or Equivalent
  • American Society of Quality Certification
  • Proven successes in building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
  • Proven successes enforcing compliance to experience with contractual flow down requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Experience working in a vertically integrated large scale manufacturing environment
