Sr Mgr Financial Analysis

SNS Product Line has an immediate opening for an individual to serve as the Finance Leader for the Navy Intermediate and Short Range Product Area Directorate. This Directorate is a Portfolio of programs with a growing group of production, Depot, and incremental development programs with projected 2019 Revenues of ~$1.0B.

This Portfolio consists of the Close in Defense Systems (CIDS) Program, Evolved Sea Sparrow (ESSM) Program, Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM)/Launcher Programs and all relative advance programs focused on this product area. This area has a significant amount of International Business, and will require the successful candidate to help develop custom solutions for our international customers, and partner with them in Co-Production Environments.

The product area portfolio includes multiple contract types, for both Development and
Production efforts, many with earned value reporting, which will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to excel in a variety of environments. Responsibilities include the coordination and oversight of the Program’s Five Year and Annual Operating Plans, Estimates at Completions (EACs), monthly financial forecasts, and regular financial status reviews with SNS Product Line leadership. A key requirement for this position is the ability to provide strategic financial leadership for the program including areas such as affordability, cost management, and program growth. A working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts, procedures and processes, including baseline planning and Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) preparation and execution is also required. This business area is heavily focused on Production, Depot, and Logistics activities, which the candidate must have experience providing financial management to.

This PADs Finance Leader is responsible for leading a team of talented managers and analysts, coaching and mentoring members of the team at all levels, and ensuring proper staffing levels and the right skill mix needed to meet internal and external customer requirements.

Interested candidates must have prior Finance Management experience along with a proficiency in Finance reporting systems and processes. The successful candidate will have the ability to work relatively independently, be self-motivated, and comfortable with new challenges. Strong communication skills are also required, along with the ability to effectively interact with multiple layers within the organization and to make recommendations for appropriate solutions.

Minimum Required Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 years financial experience with related Bachelor’s degree, or 10 years with related Master’s degree
  • Prior Finance Management experience, demonstrated experience effectively leading/managing/motivating/developing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial leadership for a program, or similar type organization including areas such as affordability, cost management, and program growth.
  • Working knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) concepts, related systems, and processes
  • Experience providing financial leadership over Production, Depot, Logistics and or similar type organizations’ efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and respectful cross functional partnerships, i.e., Program Office, Engineering, Operations, Contracts, and Supply Chain
  • Experience successfully managing multiple priorities
  • Experience preparing presentation packages for executive level review
  • Some travel may be required
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
Highly Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts, procedures and processes, including baseline planning and Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) preparation and execution
  • Exceptional analytical ability necessary to ensure program performance to plan and to ensure that problem areas are immediately identified and corrective action is taken
  • Experience conducting business in a Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) environment
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills to motivate and develop employees
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to quickly assimilate into the Program and become influential within the program/product line
