Sr. Manager-Program Management

The Advanced Products Center (APC) Customer Business Area (CBA) Senior Manager is responsible for the capture of Raytheon SAS related business performed by APC. The SAS CBA has revenue worth $200M annually, spanning development and production of RF Modules, TRIMMS, RF Subsystems and radar integration.

Programs/product lines in the APC SAS CBA today include: NGJ EMD, ISRS RSS/AMR, F-15 / F/A-18 / B-2 radars, airborne processors, and advanced radar systems. The selected individual will support and lead capture activities including proposals, win strategies, costs estimating approach and analysis, and gates. Further responsibilities include developing and communicating strategy and tactics to reduce cost, improve quality, increase performance and reliability, and improve overall competitiveness of the SAS business.

This role requires daily interface with SAS internal customers and senior Raytheon management in communicating business, financial, operations status. This position additionally ensures risk / opportunities management plans are comprehensive and executed to meet program and business commitments. Selected candidate will ensure execution of the annual and 5 year business plan to meet commitments to Raytheon.

Additionally, this leadership position will have responsibility for developing complex strategies and roadmaps that increase prime level win ratios and grow Raytheon’s business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Leading a team of ~20 Program Managers through execution and capture activities supporting the SAS CBA.
  • Partnering at multiple levels within the enterprise to capture new business and ensure execution success
  • Establishing and maintaining customer relationships, communicating program progress, issues and corrective action plans
  • Leading collaborative efforts to identify and convert customer needs into solutions and conceptual programs
  • Communicating clearly and removing barriers to execution
  • Presenting program status to senior management utilizing business and project management tools and procedures including IPDS, EVMS, IMS/IMP, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts and EACs.
  • Attracting, retaining, supervising, and developing talent

Required Skills:
  • 12 years of related experience in the industry
  • Security Clearance – SSBI Current
  • PM Level 3 Certification
  • Proposal Experience
  • Customer interface experience
  • Experience managing strategic business to drive growth
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Experience:
  • Understanding of radar technologies and architectures
  • Experience with RF Components, RF Subassemblies, and RF Subsystems
  • Demonstrated success working with customers to drive requirements
  • Security Clearance - Top Secret/SCI

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
