Sr Engineering Planner

Position Title: Sr Engineering Planner, Core Engineering

Job Description:

This position reports to Manufacturing Engineering’s Core Process Section as part of the Budgets and Proposals team. Specific needs are in the areas of Cost Account Management (CAM), Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Basis of Estimate (BOE). The Budgets and Planning Team supports all phases of program capture and execution including the preparation of Non-binding Budgetary Estimates (NBBE), responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) via submission of formal BOEs, Proposal Negotiations, Budget Setup including scheduling and cost, periodic EVMS reporting as required, Variance reporting, drafting and monitoring Budget Change Requests (BCR) and preparation of Estimates at Completion (EAC).
The Budgets and Proposals team also participates in Engineering Headcount planning and reporting and contributes to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) inputs including overhead budgeting and indirect labor.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

This position can be a Salary Grade G08, Sr. Engineering Planner or Salary Grade G09, Principal Engineering Planner based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Required Skills:
4 plus years of experience in any of the following areas: finance/accounting/earned value/planning/budgeting
Must behighly proficientwith MS Office Suite and capable of developing applicable templates
- Experience with project management or related management expertise
- U.S. Citizenship

Desired Skills:
- Experience with Earned Value Management System principles and reporting
- Raytheon Certified in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- Risk and Opportunity Management
- PRISM (or similar SAP systems) experience
- Visiprise Management experience
- Raytheon Certification as a Basis of Estimate Author
- Prior experience working in engineering, operations, supply chain or quality
- MS Excel Macro and/or Visual Basic expertise
- Experience with Capital Acquisition Requests (AR) including development of Return on Investment (ROI) justifications
- Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data Management (PDM)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
- Ability to work with minimum direct supervision
- Qualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent
- Active DoD Clearance (Secret, Confidential)

Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent combination of related experience and education (each two years of related experience can substitute for one year of education).
