The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objectives include: Influencing systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer/end user; providing affordable, best in class, life cycle sustainment services after system deployment. WLED core competencies include Safety Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, Reliability and Maintainability Engineering, Affordability Engineering, Risk and Opportunity Management, Logistics Engineering, Training, Technical Publications, Parts Availability/COTS Management, Parts and Materials Control Board (PMCB), Spares and Material Management, Repair & Upgrade, Depot/Field Engineering, Systems Integrity, Failure Reporting and corrective Action System (FRACAS), and Availability Engineering. This candidate will be an integral member of the THAAD FMS training team. The candidate will be responsible for the research, development and delivery of training material to the customer. In addition, the candidate will also be responsible to prepare conduct and training for the customer and system operators. Job Description: Plans, develops, coordinates, and conducts training programs for field support personnel and customers on the FMS THAAD Radar. Obtains information needed to prepare training materials; develop Training Support Package (TSP); develops course/lesson content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities (check on learning). Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. Performs PMCS on all assigned Training Equipment. Performs validations/verifications of technical manuals, logistic demonstrations and maintenance demonstrations. Required Skills: 6 years’ experience with THAAD Radar Training with Simulators and other Training Devices 4 years in Training Development Experience Experience in developing graphics Experience with Computer Based Development Software Training with Simulators and other devices Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance. This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or G09, based upon the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
