Sr Electrical Engineer II

Raytheon Intelligence, information and Services (IIS) is seeking an Electrical Engineer candidate to join the Hardware Engineering Production Support team to support the technical aspects of military build and repair programs as a member of a multidiscipline engineering team. This position will provide technical assistance to the Operations new build, test and repair personnel as well as buyers and outside suppliers. Typical tasking will include drawing interpretation, translation of requirements, assistance with manufacturing processes, test and troubleshooting, generation of variances as needed, review of non-routine repairs and non-routine test results, as well as providing recommendations for potential Beyond Physical Repair (BPR) and Beyond Economical Repair (BER) decisions. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, self-starting, a multitasker and have the ability to team effectively with a variety of personnel.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of six years full time engineering experience performing tasking that required the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, specifications, test requirements and processes
  • Knowledge of the configuration process with a demonstrated ability to use Common PDM or other drawing repository
  • Demonstrated ability to assess technical requirements, identify problems and develop response plans to mitigate risk
  • Experience writing/editing technical documents
  • Strong commitment to quality, customer service and delivery of mission critical capabilities
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks in an organized manner
  • Strong teaming ability
  • Self-starter
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience testing analog, digital and RF circuitry
  • Familiar with Analog and RF Instrumentation (Oscilloscope, DMM, counter, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter)
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
  • Working knowledge of measurement techniques such as VSWR, Insertion loss, Phase noise
  • Experience with defense-related products, familiar with common industry and military standards

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist
  • Experience utilizing IHS/HAYSTACK/CAPS Universe
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or in support of a Spares Program
  • Ability to read and understand government contract clauses and requirements
  • System level understanding of the APG-73 and APG-65 radar
  • Programming experience with C+++, LabVIEW, AutoCAD
  • Experience with circuit card assembly and cable assembling processes
  • Background in RF theory coursework
  • Knowledge of Raytheon engineering process documentation (EPIC and/or CMMI)
  • Working knowledge of PRISM

Required Education (including Major)
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering technology , Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 6 years of related work experience or 14 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline. MS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
