Job Description:
Raytheon Company Space and Airborne Systems business unit is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Digital Design Engineer to work on Radar control and processing electronics product development for defense applications. The position is available at 3 locations El Segundo, California, Fullerton, California and Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
The candidate is responsible for developing unit and/or module level requirements from system level requirements, developing unit and/or module architecture, implementing design, performing signal integrity analysis and testing of module and/or unit in a laboratory setting. He/she will be familiar with latest technology trend in the area of microprocessor, memory, FPGA and interface protocols. The candidate will work under the product development team environment. This position may require occasional business related travel.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of six years of related engineering experience
• At least six years of experience designing, implementing, testing, debugging, and delivering digital electronics including, but not limited to, digital units, modules, circuit cards, and FPGAs.
• At least four years of engineering leadership experience as Responsible Engineering Authority, team lead, or Integrated Product Team Lead of digital circuit card / module / unit.
• Experience in requirements allocation and generation
• Experience designing high speed interfaces for memories and SERDES channels
• Experience in bus interface such as: VME, PCI, PCIe, VPX, and Gb Ethernet.
• Experience designing circuit cards with large FPGAs and Processors
• Familiarity with circuit card assembly (CCA) and final assembly and test manufacturing processes
• Ability to handle a dynamic environment and to coordinate actions, fast learner. Demonstrates initiative, ability to work independently towards program goals.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team, providing technical and schedule status to management, customers and fellow team members.
• Proven customer-oriented personality. Experience presenting to and interfacing with customers (internal and external).
• Active Secret clearance or ability to receive interim Secret clearance

Required Education: - Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and related engineering field is preferred
