Sr Electrical Engineer I

*Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for the design of advanced Digital and Analog electronics for Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) camera products. Candidate will join the RVS Electronics Systems engineering organization, whose charter is to develop advanced electronics for visible, infrared, and LADAR camera systems. Candidate is expected to contribute to a design process that enables efficient design of Camera electronics meeting the process rigor and design robustness required in an aerospace and defense environment. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

*Required Skills: General technical tasks include Electronics CCA design, mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and integration of Memories, A-D converters, FPGAs, and microcontrollers. Other responsibilities include design documentation, bread-boarding, test, and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum 4 years of electrical design engineering.
  • Related experience in research/project activities demonstrating professional development and application of engineering skills.
  • Experience in Circuit Card Assembly Design, Schematic capture, and Board Layout.
  • Experience with FPGA’s and SoC’s.
  • Must be proficient at circuit analysis and documentation.
  • Must be process oriented and able to complete designs on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience and skill with EE lab equipment such as signal sources, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
  • Work well in teams
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

  • Altium ECAD design tools.
  • Mentor ECAD design tools.
  • Requirements flow down and customer design reviews.
  • Detailed component selection and analysis.
  • Familiarity with HyperLynx, SPICE, Code and Functional Coverage analyses.
  • Working knowledge of electronic components
  • Prior experience successfully executing quick turn developments for commercial, defense, and/or space industries.
*Required Education: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Desired Education: Completion of a BS or higher degree from an ABET accredited university majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline. Spring 2014 graduate or have graduated within the 18 months preceding hire date.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
