Raytheon’s Office of General Counsel (“OGC”) is seeking an experienced, transactional lawyer for its Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business unit. Reporting to the IDS Vice President and General Counsel, this position is responsible for providing strategic legal advice to the IDS program management, contracts, integrated supply chain, and other assigned functions. The successful candidate will work to manage complex legal and business issues related to key IDS growth pursuits, as well as regulatory and legal compliance. The candidate will collaborate and coordinate with IDS Contracts, Human Resources, Global Trade Compliance and other functions, as well as IDS Product Line leadership and peers within the OGC. The preferred candidate will have substantial experience working with issues and transactions related to US Government and international procurements, customers and suppliers. 8 years relevant experience.Graduate with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


·Working with and advising leadership on complex legal issues concerning legal rights and obligations involved in the on-going conduct of business at IDS, including but not limited to compliance with FAR and DFARS, Raytheon standard terms and conditions, cyber security, antitrust, export/import (ITAR and EAR), FCPA and other legal and regulatory compliance issues and advising on FMS and direct commercial sale international contracts.


·Reviewing, drafting and leading or supporting negotiations of teaming agreements, terms and conditions, overarching agreements, licenses, and other transactions with domestic and international customers and suppliers.


·Representing Raytheon to business partners, customers, and suppliers.Coordinating and negotiating with legal counsel for these entities.



·Conducting, coordinating and supervising internal investigations



·Managing business related disputes with customers, suppliers,and business partners, including litigation, arbitration, bid protests, and claims before state and federal courts and administrative bodies.Managing disputes with international customers and suppliers in international courts and forums.



·Managing outside counsel, as required, within budget



Required Qualifications:


·8 years related experience and law degree


·Experience with US government and international customer and supplier contracts is strongly preferred



·
Ability to interact well with multiple levels of the organization and maintain strong relationships with peers, internal clients and external customers


·Sound judgment and attention to detail


·Superior communication skills, both oral and written



·Ability to work collaboratively in teams with other in-house lawyers and clients on multiple projects at once


·Ability to think and work proactively and strategically in resolving legal issues


·Ability to manage a high volume workload and prioritize work appropriately



·Proficiency with basic computer skills, including but not limited to familiarity and comfort using common word processing and email programs



·Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed, sometimes on short notice



·
Ability to obtain a US Government secret security clearance

-U.S. Citizenship status is required.



·Good standing with a state bar association



Required Education and Experience:
8 years relevant experience and a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited US law school
