We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. or Principal Global Trade Licensing Analystto join Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business. This position is located in Fort Wayne, IN and reports to the Global Trade (GT) Licensing Manager, Mission Systems and Sensors (MSS) business unit. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a high-energy, fast -paced environment. This opportunity provides exposure and visibility in the field of Export/Import licensing and compliance and its strategic impact on global growth and success. Global Trade mitigates business risk for the Company by allowing the Company to pursue international activity and meet financial targets while ensuring compliance with US export/import laws and regulations.

The Global Trade (GT) Licensing Analyst will be responsible for working with the GT Manager to develop export and import strategies to support programs and capture efforts with international activities. In this position, the employee is responsible for providing guidance and support in the application of U.S. Government export/import regulations including but not limited to, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and US Customs and Border Protection Regulations among others. Working closely with internal customers to develop export and import authorizations that allow for the efficient movement of technology, technical data, hardware, and services internationally. Apply international trade regulations and laws to real-life situations to enable international business to support programs with international activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop relationships with internal customers and collaborating with multiple business functions for success.

This position can be a salary grade G08 or G09 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skill, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Daily processing of export transactions and foreign visitor requests, following company policies and procedures.
Assisting with the development of licensing strategies for the international marketing, sales, support, offshore procurement and manufacturing of defense and dual use articles.
Preparing draft license applications, Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements and other requests for approval by the U.S. Department of State Office of Defense Trade Control Licensing, or U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security and providing status updates to the programs/requestors for approval and submission by Empowered official.
Support export/import compliance activities such as self-assessments, internal and external audits
Respond to export/import international trade compliance questions, including the interpretation of company policy and procedures, work instructions, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), with supervision.
Some Travel required to other domestic locations as business needs dictate.


Required Skills:

A minimum of 4 years of total professional experience in international business, contracts, supply chain, engineering or other, relevant discipline.
Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.

Desired Skills:

Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Experience with Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) and Manufacturing Licensing Agreement (MLA) preparation/administration
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple business functions for success
Sincere interest in field of Export Import operations and its strategic impact on global success
Excellent customer relation/interpersonal skills
Strong Time management, prioritization, analytical and organizational skills , with ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to recognize a potential issue or situation and escalate to management timely
Ability and desire to learn, growth mindset
Strong business acumen
Attention to detail and follow through on assignments to achieve desired results
Excellent Oral and written communication skills
Proven problem solver with record of strong follow-through for success
Knowledge of OCR EASE and/or SAP systems
A US DOD secret clearance might be required at a later date as business need dictates, except in rare cases only US Citizens are eligible to obtain US Clearances.

Required Education (including Major):

BA/BS degree
8 years of work experience may be substituted for BA/BS Degree
