Job Description:
The Systems Engineering and Integration Test Center (SEIT) is seeking strong, technically sound engineering leaders committed and passionate about creating innovative, cost-effective solutions for complex remote sensing applications. The successful candidate will be a member of the Remote Sensing and Communications Space Systems Organization and will provide engineering guidance for the development of product based, integration, verification and validation through the life cycle of programs. Duties will include take ownership of the unit specification, support unit level assembly/integration activities, provide verification oversight of testing to ensure execution of the Requirements Verification Plan and Test Requirements Document, complete technical review of Test Procedures, perform test data reduction/analysis, and perform the final compliance assessment and documentation sell-off to the SEIT organization.

Required Skills:
  • 6+ years of systems engineering experience
  • Background in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Hardware
  • Knowledge of verification methodologies
  • Experience with system or subsystem level Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V)
  • Technical background with RF systems or EO/IR systems
  • Ability to perform Electrical drawings/schematics/test procedure technical reviews
  • Experience with requirements development, maintenance and management of requirements through the use of DOORS requirement database management tool
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication capability, and ability to work in an integrated product team environment
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems as separate requirements within the basic qualifications/required skills list
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
  • Required active SSBI clearance

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Electrical design integration – interpreting signal lists, Electrical inter Connect Drawings (EICDs), and intra and inter box knowledge
  • Experience with requirements verification and sell-off
  • Experience with supporting formal reviews such as Test Readiness Review (TRR), Failure Review Board (FRB), Consent to Ship Review (CTSR)
  • Team oriented individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technical background with EM theory, data analysis or power systems
  • Software IV&V experience
  • Technical publications and/or patents
  • Master's Degree/PhD in relevant field

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM), or Master’s degree in relevant field with 6 years of engineering experience
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems as separate requirements within the basic qualifications/required skills list
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
