Space Situational Awareness Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects, including coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach and organize the means to achieve technical solutions for complex space systems. Provide direct support for the identification and assessment of the nation’s space capabilities, examine the operational risks associated with capability gaps and redundancies, and review possible solutions and implementation timelines to support programmatic and milestone decisions. Lead teams in a highly dynamic environment. Collaborate with others to provide technical and operational support focused on the advancement of mission objectives and project milestones.

Basic Qualifications:

-12+ years of experience with multiple areas of military, national, civil, or commercial space missions

-12+ years of experience with systems and capabilities, including Space Situational Awareness (SSA), PNT, Command and Control (C2), OPIR, ground and space-based sensors, and launch vehicles

-10 years of experience with analyzing the development of high level concepts, policies, or vision statements

-10 years of experience with project and technical management

-8+ years of experience with conducting systems engineering processes and developing the space systems ground architecture requirements required to drive the future execution of military space mission to support Joint war fighting objectives

-Ability to develop and brief technical recommendations and courses of action for senior military leadership shaping the future of the military space mission

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree or 15 years of experience with the space mission area in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Project, Outlook, Word, and Excel

-Experience with SAP/SAR preferred

-Knowledge of the NSS organizational and mission structure

-Knowledge of the Joint Capability Development and Integration System (JCIDS)

-Ability to manage client and team relationships, display flexibility, demonstrate initiative and innovation, and handle complex, ambiguous and fast–paced operational situations

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent interpersonal, presentation, data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills

-MA or MS degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related space operations-focused field preferred
