Software Test Engineer, Mid

Key Role: 

Analyze the development of tests and test custom Windows-based software to support the development and sustainment of a space mission planning system. Support the software development team by conducting continuous testing during the development cycle and planning for and conducting focused test efforts during integration tests and functional qualification testing. Test new software, perform problem validation, and troubleshoot operational software, including testing software patches and information assurance patch updates. Analyze test plans, procedures, and reports. Communicate with team members and external stakeholders to provide status and insight into test activities and results. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.

Basic Qualifications: 
-3+ years of experience with system testing methodologies and the system or software development life cycle (SDLC)
-Experience with developing and executing test plans, procedures, and scenarios for unit, process, function, system integration, and acceptance testing and analyzing testing results
-Experience with documenting and updating manual test procedures 
-Experience with executing PC network-based hardware and software and system-level tests 
-Experience with performing thorough analysis of software requirement documentation to ensure completeness and testability of requirements

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree 

Additional Qualifications: 
-Experience with using MySQL, .NET, or equivalent technologies 
-Experience with writing automated user interface tests

-Experience with Team Foundation Server and GIT version control manager  
-Experience with using Bugzilla, or equivalent issue-tracking system 
-Experience with developing a system test approach for laboratory and field tests 
-Knowledge of the Global Positioning System (GPS)

-Knowledge of cryptography and signal security
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-Secret clearance preferred
