Description
SAIC is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and experienced software tester to join an energetic and versatile team to fulfill all aspects of testing on an existing Enterprise application. This position requires a tester who has a strong desire to work with new technology across a vast IT infrastructure. Positions are located thoughout the Northern Virginia area.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with project managers and developers and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Develop and successfully execute detailed test plans, procedures and scenarios for unit, process, function, system integration, acceptance, and regression testing
- Perform analysis of requirements and provide feedback regarding requirements testability
- Draft test scenarios, and operate test tools that verify system requirements
- Follow software development methodologies (such as agile/scrum) and maintain software development standards and procedures
- Validate and verify the implementation of infrastructure and application security features
- Work within the full-lifecycle software development including analyzing, designing, building, testing, implementing, and supporting applications
- Ensure new software modifications meet requirements and operate satisfactorily in the system environment
- Document the successes and failures of all executed test procedures
- Write clear, concise and effective written correspondence, test plans and results, procedures and scenarios in accordance with customer policies
Qualifications
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- On-the-job experience in increasingly responsible positions as a tester for information technology, with an emphasis on software, hardware, or network
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Demonstrated experience validating and verifying the implementation of infrastructure and application security features
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience conducting end-to-end testing of large or complex information systems
- Experience validating and verifying application and infrastructure requirements for performance, availability, stability, and efficiency
- Demonstrated experience exhibiting communication skills (listening, verbal, written, and presentation/briefing)
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience communicating complex technical concepts and project information to technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience exhibiting initiative and an ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting the Intelligence Community
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with testing application software hosted in the cloud/virtual environments is preferred
- Selenium experience preferred
