SAIC is hiring Software Engineers to support a force protection system under AMCOM Express at Red Stone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will be part of a team developing a .NET desktop application that supports the security and safety of the brave men and women in the field serving our country.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is for a Software Engineer to develop and sustain a Force Protection software system. You will be developing a .Net desktop application that contains Windows Server and Workstation applications and services, sensors and cameras, as well as interfaces to other systems. The technology stack you will be working includes C#, C++, .Net, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), and tools for developing digital video transport applications including DirectShow, MPEG2, and MPEG4.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Force Protection Lab (FPL) provides system-of-systems engineering and integration solutions that protect and mitigate hostile actions against military personnel, resources and facilities. The FPL integrates commercial off-the-shelf sensors including chemical and biological, acoustical, radar and other sensors that are used by both terrestrial and unmanned aerial systems to improve facility monitoring. The FPL's expertise in modeling, simulation, system integration and software engineering delivers systems and software to provide increased situational awareness, enhanced standoff and security posture and deterrence.
