Software Engineer, C#

Job Description

ASRC Federal is currently seeking a Software Engineer with strong C#/.NET skills to support The Naval Circuit Management Office (NCMO) Order Management (OM) Division in our Suffolk, VA location.  

  • Actively investigating and developing new software tools and techniques in performing and automating Navy telecommunications management, to include inventory, financial dashboards, transition management and automation, and review and revalidation (R&R).
  • Develop in programming languages to include C#/.NET, JavaScript, jQuery as well as AJAX and Bootstrap
  • Assist in accreditation of Navy applications under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to include Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and server and application hardening.
  • Utilize strong logic, design, and development skills with an understanding of low-level OS and system operations.

Requirements

What a great opportunity for a cleared (Secret) C#/.NET Developer to work with other technologies (MVC architecture, NHibernate, Oracle and others) and develop skill sets in Cybersecurity such as RMF and the Assessment and Accreditation process.  (Active Secret clearance is required.)

  • B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Candidate must have more than 5 recent (i.e. less than 2 years removed) years of experience in a software engineering role
  • Strong programming skills in C#/.NET
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript, jQuery
  • Experience in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server database technologies
  • Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS), SVN, or other version control systems
  • Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) based Assessment and Accreditation (A&A)
  • Must have a minimum of a U.S. Secret Security clearance

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with MVC architecture
  • Experience with NHibernate or Entity Framework Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technology
  • Experience with AJAX and Bootstrap
  • Experience administering IIS and Windows Server
  • Experience with agile development, to include requirements development and testing
  • Experience in developing applications for the Navy or Department of Defense
  • Experience supporting accredited software development CMMI ML3 or above
  • Experience with DoD eMass application.
