Software Developer IRES

Software Application Engineer to support the Application Administration team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at Schriever Air Force Base, CO. Work with a team of experienced software engineers to automate business processes and perform Operations and Maintenance (O&M) on existing applications. Support various application technologies including Java with a focus on web development JSP, Servlets, JavaScript / JQuery, and Ruby.

O&M tasking includes daily system checks, application configurations, vendor updates, responding to customer requests. Interaction with customers and ensuring security best practices and compliance with IA standards. Responsibilities include performing (O&M) on developed applications, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products and developing with Kinetic/Remedy applications. In this position you will complete document deliverables and test plans. In this position you will be in compliance with change management processes.

Basic Requirements: Candidate must have a High School diploma (or GED) with 12 years of general experience and/or an Associate's degree with 10 years of general experience and/or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years general experience; must include 6 years of related experience in one or more of the following applications and tools: Relational Databases (e.g. MS Access, Oracle, SQL Server); Programming Languages (e.g. HTML5, Java, .NET, J2EE, CSS, XML, ColdFusion); Operating Systems: Windows, UNIX; graphic design software and tools such as Adobe CS4/5, 3DStudio Max, Maya, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flex, Dreamweaver, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and equivalents; software project lifecycle tools (i.e. Bug Tracking, Requirements Management, etc.); and/or server side architectures and system design and development.Experience with the following: JSP, Servlets, JavaScript / JQuery, and Ruby. Experience in the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) including: Requirements Gathering, Design, Implementation, Testing, and Maintenance. Familiarity with server certificates and Common Access Card (CAC) implementations. Possess an understanding of Enterprise level applications that include troubleshooting application related security issues. Occasional after hours support may be required. Candidate must have completed and be enrolled in Continuing Education (CE) with a Security+ certification. Candidate must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. The successful candidate will be assigned as an employee for Jacobs or one of the following teammates companies: HX5, GCS, ERC, MEIT or Aerodyne.

Desired: Experience with JSP, Servlets, JavaScript / JQuery, Ruby, and T-SQL (SQL Server), Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft Visual Studio 2015, Active Directory. Experience coding with and resolving security issues using HP Fortify360. Experience with Kinetic Data development and/or Remedy development is a plus. Familiar with the MDA and BMDS programs.
