Responsibilities:

The Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC) consists of the set of systems required to perform targeting, mission planning, and strike execution for the Tomahawk Cruise Missile. Vencore develops and maintains 5 of the 7 systems in the TMPC. The TMPC systems must be maintained at the highest level of cyber security. Continuous development and maintenance is performed on the fielded and future Tomahawk systems.

We are searching for a full time, software engineer to join our team as we design and code the next generation of Command and Control applications for the Tomahawk Cruise Missile. As part of the development team, you will be on the leading edge of object oriented design and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) development.  You will be participating in the conceptual definition, design, coding, and testing of solutions in a process oriented environment.

The desired candidate will be:

  • Fluent in all Microsoft technologies.  
  • Highly motivated, capable of delivering innovative solutions.  You will be comfortable prototyping to validate new technologies

Able to maintain currency in the latest software technologies and methodologies

Qualifications:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.Solid understanding of relational databases in general and Microsoft SQL Server in particular
  • Professional experience with the Microsoft .Net platform
  • Solid understanding of Windows SW Development technologies:  SQL Server, LINQ, IIS, .NET, .NET Core, C#, C++, Java, ASP.NET, Ajax, WCF, MVC, JSON.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software patterns.
  • US citizenship required.  The Candidate must qualify for a DoD SECRET security clearance.
