Software Architect, Mid

Key Role:

Review and provide analysis of enterprise and contractor software development plans and software test plans in support of software changes to existing systems and environments. Apply expertise in and analysis of the software process for both Waterfall and Agile and perform visual code review and inspection and tool–based static code analysis. Track and analyze code defects during software builds. Observe software integration tests and track problem reports from various software test events. Tailor, track, analyze, and report contractor software metrics. Work with Air Force and contractor teams to identify trends, risks, and issues and lead plans to mitigate risks and close issues. Provide program management support of contractor and Air Force briefings, presentations, and reviews. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.

Basic Qualifications

-3+ years of experience with software engineering and development for DoD programs

-3+ years of experience with programming languages, including C, C++, and Fortran

-Knowledge of DoD acquisition, systems engineering, and Cybersecurity processes

-Knowledge of scripts

-Knowledge of the Waterfall and Agile software development life cycle

-Knowledge of Clear Case and Clear Quest

-Ability to interact with technical and non–technical staff

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting a government system program office in the acquisition of large space systems in the DoD or government

-Experience with developing Web or mobile applications

-Experience with other programming languages and technologies, including Java, Jovial, C#, Objective C, JavaScript, C, AngularJS, Spring and Hibernate, JBoss Application Server, SQL, and Nginx a plus

-Experience with designing relational databases

-Experience with developing mobile applications

-Knowledge of HTML or CSS

-Knowledge of computer security principles

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent problem–solving skills

-Security + Certification
