SME 3 Trainer

Overview:

Olgoonik Global Security is seeking specialized Subject Matter Expert Trainer to support operational requirements in the Tampa, FL area. The work performance of this effort is to provide specialized VAK Remote Advice & Assist (RAA) training and technical support to designated United States military units in the U.S Central Command area of responsibility who are preparing to deploy overseas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Researches, designs, develops, and delivers technical training to employees.
  • Will provide operator level training for vehicle and handheld devices such as SHOUT Nano and 9602-LP devices.
  • Provide specialized VAK training to the designated military units both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Training will include instruction on programming devices using the satellite terminal emulator NAL software.
  • Identifies and assesses technical training needs.
  • Develops, organizes, conducts and evaluates technical training programs, which may include training related to the use other technical products.
  • Develops and maintains training manuals or other documentation.
  • Documents training, assesses effectiveness and progress, reports on progress, and makes changes to training as needed. After each training even training reports will be sent to the PM.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Performs work under general supervision.

Education and/or Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, specializing in telecommunications or electronics or related technical field and four years of experience with technical training.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be familiar with SHOUT Nanos and 9602-LP devices Iridium and Thuraya satellite phones.
  • Knowledge with vehicle installations and NAL software.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems.
  • Assists in developing training plans and concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop and mentor others; leadership skills.

Security Clearance:

TOP SECRET Clearance Level Required

  • Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance
  • Must have a current US Government Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (less than 4-1/2 years old) or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Single Scope Background Investigation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.
