Site Reliability Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for the design, deployment, and maintenance of production-scale systems. Support services before they go live through activities, including consulting system design, developing software platforms and frameworks, planning capacity, and launching reviews. Assist with continuously measuring, monitoring, and maximizing availability, efficiency, and performance of live services, applications, and systems. Monitor production services using tools, including Splunk. Maintain virtual environments, apply patches to development and production platforms, including Windows and VMware, perform backup and recovery, and collaborate with other software engineers to troubleshoot applications and services. Collaborate with Tier I support to respond to incidents and service requests. Support the migration of development and production applications and services to the Cloud.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with configuring, monitoring, and maintaining Linux-based systems, including RHEL

-Experience with VMware, Docker/PodMan, and Kubernetes

-Experience with hardening systems in compliance with security best practices and guidelines, including security technical implementation guides (STIGs)

-Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including provisioning and managing VPCs, EC2 instances, security groups, and S3 buckets using CloudFormation scripting

-Knowledge of networking protocols, including DNS, DHCP, and NTP

-Top Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Active Directory

-Experience with configuration management and automation tools, including Puppet, Ansible, and Salt

-Experience with CI and CD tools, including TFS and Jenkins

-Experience with implementing PKI and SSL

-Experience with configuring and managing Splunk

-Experience with IT services management tools, including ServiceNow and Remedy

-Experience with configuring Cisco switches

-Knowledge of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

-Knowledge of programming languages, including .NET and Java

-BA or BS degree

-Microsoft or AWS Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
