SharePoint Developer

We are looking to hire a talented SharePoint Developer to create customized SharePoint solutions for our Department of the Navy customer. As a SharePoint Developer, you will be responsible for configuring and customizing SharePoint systems according to customer specifications, building scalable web applications, writing and modifying code, debugging software, and training staff.

To ensure success as a SharePoint Developer, you should have extensive knowledge of SharePoint and MS Office software, proficiency with front-end programming languages, and the ability to solve complex software issues. Ultimately, a top-class SharePoint Developer can create clean, scalable SharePoint websites that meet all design and functionality requirements.

 

SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meeting with the design team and customers to review website and application requirements.
  • Setting tasks and development goals.
  • Configuring the company SharePoint systems to specified requirements.
  • Designing, coding, and implementing scalable applications.
  • Extending SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies.
  • Testing and debugging code.
  • Reviewing website interface and software stability.
  • Troubleshooting software issues.
  • Maintaining and updating SharePoint applications.
  • Providing systems training and SharePoint education to staff and customers

 

Qualifications

SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.   Additional experience in lieu of degree may be substituted.
  • 5 years of experience.
  • Previous experience as a SharePoint Developer.
  • Extensive experience with client-side technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, CAML, REST API/ Web Services to be able to use the SharePoint client object model (CSOM) to query lists, manipulate list items and create on-demand reports and mashup of data to deliver content in an easy to understand manner.
  • Extensive experience using InfoPath and SharePoint designer to develop workflows and data view web parts
  • Experience with all aspects of SharePoint, including roles, permissions and hierarchy, taxonomy, infrastructure design, metadata and search, SharePoint services, SharePoint Designer and InfoPath.
  • Experience with out-of-the-box SharePoint capabilities, including hierarchy, permissions, site and list templates, web parts development, workflow and content management.
  • Strong interaction skills including verbal and written communications skills
  • High-level coding skills.
  • Ability to solve complex software issues.
  • Ability to project manage.
  • Detail orientated.
  • Self-motivated.

 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

  • SharePoint 2013+ required within 90 days of hire date.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certifications required within 90 days of hire date.

 

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Must have an active/current Secret Security Clearance prior to starting.
