Sharepoint Content Manager

A Programmer is responsible for developing software based on a defined set of design and performance requirements. A programmer may be called upon to partner with customer in the development of requirements. Programmer must ensure that their developed software meets or exceeds requirements.

Leadership/Direction: Activities will be directed, monitored, outlined by a more senior programmer or Project Lead. The Programmer may participate in a leadership role in small to medium sized application development projects. The Programmer may also actively participate on a number of development teams of moderate to complex applications. Must have the ability to work efficiently under tight schedules in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. All safety policies must be strictly adhered to.

Requirements for the position:
  • Software development experience including web site design
  • Development experience using SharePoint Designer or MS Visual Studio
  • Workflows and business process automation
  • Experience in ASP.NET, JavaScript/JQuery, VB Script, HTML, XML
  • Experience developing custom solutions for SharePoint web parts with strong working knowledge of the SharePoint Object Model
  • Experience with Windows SharePoint Services
  • SharePoint Users Experience

  • Have experience as a member of development teams that have produced moderate to complex applications
  • Have ability to understand documented requirements and translate them to design applications and databases
  • Have ability to design database tables to fit specified requirements ensuring data integrity and normalization

  • BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related scientific or engineering discipline and three (3) to five (5) years of progressive, relevant experience, or any equivalent
  • combination of education, experience, training, and certifications.
  • Secret Clearance required.
  • CompTIA Security+ (required within 6 months of employment)

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk in the ITSS facility (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.

Inside office environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).

Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.

Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%).

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. The position for which you are interviewing requires a US government security clearance. This is to advise you, that should you be extended an offer, if you possess a dual citizenship (i.e., citizen of the US and another country), in order to be granted a clearance you will be required to relinquish your citizenship in the foreign country.
