SENIOR TECHNICAL WRITER

 DESCRIPTION

Overview: IntelliWare is an award-winning national security business with an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Technical Writer to support a federal law enforcement client’s counterintelligence program. The Senior Technical Writer Specialist will provide executive-level communications support. This position is exempt.

Clearance:

Top Secret (with SCI eligibility). Candidate must have the ability to successfully complete a U.S. government CI polygraph examination if successful USIC CI poly has not been recorded within the past five years.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

10-years’ experience as a writer and/or editor within the intelligence, defense, or law enforcement communities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience writing for executive-level audiences.
Experience editing the work of executives and senior staff.
Experience developing effective, multi-faceted strategic communication plans that focus on internal audience communications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build working relationships within all organizational levels.
Proficiency in MS Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
Experience writing speeches, articles, FAQs, newsletters, reports, briefing papers, presentations, talking points, and/or other communication products involving complex topics ranging from executive to enterprise audiences.
Ability to take initiative with minimal support or guidance and be a self-starter.
Writing samples required.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in English, Journalism, or Communications
