System Engineer who can guide, coach and motivate team to achieve Government priorities. Passionate about Scrum, AGILE and Kanban methodologies. MANDATORY SKILLS: Required - Shall have twelve (12) years experience in system engineering. Seven (7) years experience shall have occurred within the past ten (10) years. Required - Shall have two (2) years experience in the cleared environment. Required - Experience in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/nontechnical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis. OPTIONAL SKILLS: Highly Desired Scrum certification, Agile certification, Knowledge of Kanban methodology Desired - Experience in developing documentation required to support a program's technical issues and training situations. Desired - Five (5) years experience with Object Oriented and Structured development methodologies, networks, data storage, data modeling, data ontologies, security architectures and CASE tool selection and use. Desired - Five (5) years experience integrating COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors. Highly Desired: Linux Systems Engineering and Cloud Computing experience in installing, administering, and supporting Linux operating systems across several Linux platforms including: RedHat, CentOS, Fedora, and Solaris. To include experience with Red Hat Linux Kickstart. Highly Desired: Experience in database concepts and technologies (e.g., relational, cloud, MySQL RDBMS) Highly Desired: Experience in configuration and management of DNS, LDAP, Puppet, VMWare vCenter, as well as other enterprise level services Desired: Seven (7) years experience leading, providing technical supervision, and guiding mid-level engineering personnel; solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule, four (4) years of which shall have been on DoD projects. Desired Five (5) years experience using agile and/or spiral development models. Desired - Experience evaluating project needs, determining tasks and durations and allocating resources. Desired - Experience implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access. Desired: Proficient in shell, Perl, and Python scripting to automate several areas of system administration Desired Knowledge and experience with developing distributed storage routing and querying algorithms. Desired: Experience with large scale Hadoop environment builds and support including design, capacity planning, cluster set up, performance tuning and monitoring. Desired: Experience in using Nagios open source tool to support system-wide monitoring and alerting services for servers, network appliances, applications and services Desired: Expertise in traditional system administration and programming skills such as storage capacity management, and performance tuning. Desired: Experience with deploying, installing and testing of large enterprise level systems which provide a number of different services to the customer. Desired: Experience with network and server IAVA review, security scanning, and reporting. Desired: Experience with installation, configuring, integrating, and maintaining Atlassian product line management servers (including updates to software and plugins). Desired: Knowledge and experience with internals of HDFS, HADOOP, and/or Googles BIG TABLE. Desired: Security + Certification Desired: Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (4) years experience. A Master's Degree in a technical field will be considered equivalent to six (6) years experience.
