Senior Systems Architect

Job Description

CACI is looking for a motivated Senior Systems Architect in the MD area. Join the CACI team to help develop and implement computer systems and networks for your organization.


What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
  • Identifies, assesses, and presents options for meeting the functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades.
  • Responsible for developing high level system design diagrams.


More About the Role:

  • Ensure systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models, and profiles of standards - such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model - as they apply to the implementation and specification of Information Management (IM) solution of the application platform, across the application program interface (API), and the external environment/software application.  
  • Ensure that the common operating environment is compliant.
  • Evaluate analytic and systematic problems of work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Required Experience: At least fifteen years of general experience of which 12 directly related experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering).

Certifications:

  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline IAT Level I or Level II certification.
  • ITIL Foundations certification required. must be current or able to be obtain within 90 days of start date. 

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Education: Advanced Degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering).
  • Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP), or as Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II in Program Management is desirable but not mandatory.
