Position Overview:
Senior Systems Analyst to support the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (GME) providing Scheduling and Scheduling Analysis for the GME Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Primary duties will include maintaining Division Schedules and integrating them into a consolidated GME IMS that will feed the overall GM Master Schedule. Conduct schedule analysis to ensure critical path items are tracked and assess impacts for schedule slips. Develop schedule metrics to measure status/quality of IMS. This position requires excellent written and verbal skills as well as exceptional MS Office, MS Project Professional, and Milestone Professional skills.Duties/Responsibilities:• Provide technical leadership for assessment, evaluation, and feasibility to accomplish requirements of the BMDS Master Integration Plan, Capability Fielding Plan, Integrated Master Test Plan, and BMDS Specification. • Identify potential conflicts, alternative resolutions, and impacts to cost, technical, and schedule. • Identify integration risks and recommend Course of Actions (CoAs).• Review and assess the current state of baseline documentation, identify required changes and impacts, present changes to management process, and implement approved changes.• Collaborate and interface with internal and external stakeholders to manage multiple Integrated Master Schedules to determine critical paths, identify potential conflicts & disconnects, and provide program risk’s qualitative and quantitative assessments, evaluations, tracking, mitigations, and reporting.• Present and audit facts for briefings, reports, and information papers requested by MDA Senior Leadership and Congress. • Prepare and present GMD Senior Management on subjects related to BMDS capability delivery and fielded asset management briefings for the MDA Boards • Identify and document potential shortfalls, failures of planning, conflicts, alternative resolutions, and risks• Provide status, detailed planning, and analysis for thorough, concise briefings on GMD’s Systems Requirement Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews to Senior Leaders.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Position requires a BS in Engineering or related Technical Field and 10+ years System Scheduling experience in defense industry.
Other Requirements:
• Experience with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or Ground-based Midcourse (GM) Defense Program office• Excellent communication skills with ability to coordinate technical and programmatic status with Senior MDA/GMD Leadership• Capability to develop technical documents supporting GMD Scheduling• Critical Computer Skills: Microsoft Project Server, Milestone Professional, PowerPoint, Open Plan Projects, Word, Excel• Secret Clearance Required
