Senior RF Test Engineer II

Job Description

We are looking for high-energy, self-driven test engineer with a proven track record in testing and troubleshooting of Microwave Integrated Circuits (MICs), Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs) and RF Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) ranging from L-Band to Ku-Band frequencies.
The successful candidate must have fundamental knowledge of RF testing methods and techniques, have hands-on experience using RF test equipment, and have test automation programming experience.
The candidate should be self-motivated, interact effectively within multi-disciplined teams with a desire to take on a future team leadership role, and engage effectively with internal as well as external customers, vendors and sub-contractors.
The candidate should be prepared to work in a high octane production driven environment and travel to external vendors and sub-contractors will be required.

Required Skills:

  • Must have at least 6 years of related technical work experience with RF/Microwave components, circuits and products.
  • Hands on experience in Testing, Troubleshooting and Failure Analysis of RF/Microwave components, circuits and products.
  • Experience in test software tools including: C, C++, Visual C, LabView, LabWindows CVI or comparable.
  • Experience with lab test equipment including: Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Scalar Analyzers, Signal Generators, Noise Figure and Power Meters .
  • Experience in designing and implementation of Special Test Equipment.
  • Experience in working in collaboration with Design and Systems Engineering teams to define requirements and specification for testing, verification, and validation.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.


Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with Matlab and legacy DOS based computer systems
  • Experience in managing electrical testing programs from test planning, test execution, to data reporting.


Required Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.


Desired Education:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
