Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished material or product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of, and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to quality control. Requires degree in STEM. Provide Hardware and Software Configuration Management (CM) support for the IIS business area in Largo, Florida. Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Establishes procedures for and implements the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies. Tasks also include working with Program Office, Chief Engineering, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Software Engineering, Operations, Quality and other CDMs.Control program software media both physically and in a Filmmaker database. Provide reporting as needed to fulfill the program contracts. Maintain Version Description Documents.Report management metrics as needed concerning baseline activity. Coordinated System Problem Reports meetings and statuses ensuring changes are reflected accurately in the Access SPR database and facilitating the SPR process to closure. Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain the status of specific trouble tickets. Facilitating prioritizing tickets as needed. Report using Footprints software to communicate statuses. As program risk manager, coordinate risk meetings and databases. Communicate with management and other stakeholders to ensure program risks are properly tracked and worked to a resolution. Program Quality Assurance involved in functional and security test witness for all new and renewed program activities. Witness sell- off of all trouble tickets and system problem reports and document the QA activity accordingly. Witness sell-off of all released hardware items. Certify all tracked shipments are properly recorded and documented.
This candidate must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Required Skills:

  • 4 - 8 years related work experience
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance processes
  • Understanding of QA requirements on a project
  • Technical knowledge of multiple software platforms and operating systems
  • Strong background and ability to provide SWQA support tools
  • Insight to QA identify methodology and application to a part or document and software
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment consisting of organizational and outside customer contacts to meet project goals.
  • Experience in maintaining program baseline of all Configuration Items (CI). Using an Access Database to control version history
  • Author changes to the baseline drawings to reflect the as built, approved and released changes. Control current versions, archive previous versions, and track redline changes, release and properly distribute to stakeholders.
  • Ability to ensure processes and procedures are followed as tailored to the program. Update processes and needed.

  • Domain knowledge of Software builds and releases
  • Experience handling proprietary/classified data
  • Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to work with internal and external customers
  • Working knowledge of industry Configuration/Data

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
