Job Description

The Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program’s mission is to safeguard and secure cyberspace in an environment where the threat of cyber-attack is continuously growing and evolving and is responsible for enhancing the security, resilience, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and communications infrastructure.  The CDM Program defends the United States (U.S.) Federal Information Technology (IT) networks from cybersecurity threats by providing continuous monitoring sensors (tools), diagnosis, mitigation tools, and associated services to strengthen the security posture of Government networks. This program is managed within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C)/Network Security Deployment (NSD) Division.

The CDM program is a dynamic approach to fortifying the cybersecurity of government networks and systems. CDM provides federal departments and agencies with capabilities and tools that identify cybersecurity risks on an ongoing basis, prioritize these risks based upon potential impacts, and enable cybersecurity personnel to mitigate the most significant problems first.  CACI supports the CDM Program by procuring, installing, and operating a variety of cyber security capabilities for eleven federal agencies in both classified and unclassified IT operational environments.

What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is looking for a talented and motivated Sr. Project Scheduler to join our DHS Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) team in the National Capital Region (NCR).

  • Develops and implements program schedule management plan to ensure effective management of program IMS and project sub schedules.
  • Performs project management functions including analyzing requirements, evaluating performance, establishing and maintaining project schedule policies, and projecting out-year requirements. 
  • Creates, monitors, and analyzes project schedules in accordance with standard of best project practice
  • Conducts weekly Schedule reviews. Tracks, analyzes, and reports information appropriately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports
  • Processes schedule performance data for reporting. Prepares regular and ad hoc program and project performance measurement reports and variance analysis reports, forecasts, progress achieved to date, and studies.
  • Develops and implements Schedule Change Control program. Ensures accuracy of project schedules and performed version control
  • Prepares trend analysis to identify problem areas and submit recommendations for corrective actions. 
  • Monitors and provides oversight of program performance metrics to validate the presence of management value by providing independent assessments of performance issues to upper management based on schedule metrics analysis. 
  • Develops achievable program schedule critical path for project, program and contractual milestones.  
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for control and integrity. Ensures contract WBS is properly updated and current. 
  • Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develops contingency plans
  • Perform coordination of cross-functional departments to identify project issues and risks, monitor action items, and work with the project manager to ensure resolution

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be clearable to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EOD clearance. Current EOD preferred.
  • There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. However, as a requirement of continued employment in this position you will be required to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • 3+ years of project scheduling experience


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
  • Experience with MS Project Server
  • Relevant DHS or .Gov Cyber Security focused experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience maintaining large IMS
