Job Requisition:Senior Program ManagerJob Description:The Leidos Innovation Center (LInC) has an opening for a Senior Program Manager in our San Diego, CA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your program management experience and skills to help plan, organize and oversee Leidos and subcontractor execution in the development, production, test and delivery of the cutting edge ground sensor system soon to be transitioned into the hands of the military end-users.
Primary Responsibilities
List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities.
Working closely with the engineering team and the Program Technical Lead, the Program Manager has responsibilities from inception through execution and final delivery. Responsibilities and routine daily activities include
- Program planning
o Scheduling, defining milestones, resource loading, task decomposition
o Basis of estimates, bill of materials, facilities, security
o Responsibility for establishing program management plan and procedures
- Program execution
o Project status, including tracking financial and technical performance measures
o Customer briefings and reporting
o Insuring compliance with Leidos reporting and engineering practices
o Oversight and insuring compliance with program management - Configuration management, Quality assurance, Risk management & Property management
o Reporting to Leidos management and liasson to other Leidos departments (HR, security, IT, procurement)
- Subcontractor management
o Writing statements of work, defining subcontractor deliverables
o Tasking and oversight of subcontractor execution
o Reviewing subcontract management reports
Skills you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, mathematics or physics with at least 10 years experience managing complex programs.
- Must have a current Secret Security Clearance.
- Technical background and with familiarity with mechanical, electrical, software or systems engineering, mathematics or physics.
- Familiarity with project management tools and processes (Microsoft Project, SAP, and/or CostPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with measurement and signal intelligence (MASINT)
- Familiarity with ground sensing systems
- Familiarity with satellite communications
