Senior Principal RF Test Engineer 4- Receiver/Exciter

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Manufacturing Operations Test Engineering Team seeks an RF Test Engineer to support the Receiver/Exciter Manufacturing Cell.

We are seeking a person who is interested in Test Engineering and has a Radio Frequency (RF) background. The RF Test Engineer will work with our advanced microelectronic products, and will support the development, integration, and testing of production hardware. Activities will range from hands-on testing, to analysis of failure trends, and root cause/ corrective action.

Roles and responsibilities of the RF Test Engineer include, but are not limited to:
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment
Troubleshoots and supports RF hardware
Supports First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and hardware deliveries
Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements
Supports technicians through troubleshoot and training
Analyzes test data and identifies early trends
Supports program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions
Collaborates with design engineering to develop and implement hardware improvements and solutions

The right candidate will have analytical skills to review requirements, test plans, and test scenarios; and the ability to effectively communicate and work with manufacturing, test engineering, and design engineering personnel. He/she should also be self-directed, organized, team oriented and have previous experience with MS Office tools.

The ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance is required for this job. An Interim Secret clearance is required to start the job; if you do not currently have a clearance, a contingent offer may be made so you can start the job once you have an Interim Secret clearance. We would sponsor you for this clearance.

MANUMS

Basic Qualifications:
BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or other STEM Field
9 years of related experience (7 years with a STEM MS degree)
Experience with RF test equipment (scopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator
Familiarity with basic concepts of RF circuit design and troubleshooting
Ability to obtain DoD Secret level security clearance. An Interim Secret clearance is required to start this job.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of RF theory and concepts
Circuit card assembly (CCA) level test experience
Experience with automated testing is desired, but not required.
Active US Secret Level security clearance
