Senior Oracle Database Engineer

Raytheon is supporting a proprietary customer contract for delivering technical support to customer management and providing resources for the technical services required to enable customer mission accomplishment.In support of the customer’s strategic direction, Raytheon is looking for individuals who can support the protection of the customer environment.Senior Oracle Database Engineers are needed to support the customer team.



Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining software in an operational baseline

- Provides guidance in the development of new requirements to support customer objectives

- Analyzes new requirements and designs complex solutions

- Generates architecture and design materials
- Supports software delivery working groups
- Serves as a liaison with factory developers for software deficiency work off efforts
- Supports the development and execution of integration and test procedures
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned
- Provide support to operations teams on an on-call basis
- Coordinates baseline updates with internal and external stakeholders, so include Requests For Change (RFC)
- Participates in special projects as required
- Will be required to support a flexible schedule and must be available for on-call support


Required Skills:
- Current TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI-Poly

- 8+years of relevant experience

- Solid understanding of software engineering in an operational environment

- Understanding of data modeling

- Experience with data architecture within a DODAF framework

- Experience with Oracle 10g RAC databases or later versions

- Experience with MS SQL Server

- Experience installing and configuring database software for new instances

- Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) procedures

- Must be able to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations

- Possess good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Must exhibit good time management skills, independent decision making capability; focus on customer service.
- Ability to work with the other technical members of the team to administer and support the overall program.

- Proficiency with MS Office Applications



Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting Intelligence, DoD, or DHS Customers
- LINUX or Windows System Administrator (SA) Skills
- Experience with CVS or related configuration management tools
- Proficiency with mission scheduling and command and control software
- Experience with Risk and Opportunity management
- Experience with complex algorithm development
- Experience with process development and deployment
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Excellent writing skills

Desired Certifications:
DOD 8570 IAT Level II

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.Master’s Degree preferred.
Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree-level education.
